How to Support the Project

How You and Your Alumnae Group Can Help

We are delighted that we have already received pledges of support from alumnae in several countries around the world. We would love your support to help us reach our target of planting and maintaining a total of 150 native trees to help green communities across the world.

Organisations such as The Tree Council and the Woodland Trust in the UK, and the Arbor Day Foundation in the US, indicate it’s key that people need to identify sites locally where trees could be planted, either as part of an existing project or as a standalone site.

Do you know of a site, or would like to find a site – whether a public or private space. It could be a school, community garden or orchard, botanical garden or arboretum, or a local woodland.    It might be part of an outreach or mentoring project, or in association with a tree planting organisation.

Do please get in touch with us about your ideas at Newnham150@newn.cam.ac.uk quoting Trees in the subject line.

You can also contribute to the tree planting project as part of your alumnae group’s fundraising. Read more here.
